Review on 💻 Protectli Vault 6 Port Firewall Mini PC with Intel Quad Core i5 (8250U) Processor and AES-NI Technology – Barebone by Russ Montgomery

The product is a good compact machine. I bought a small standalone ESXi host for a small remote site. (i5 4 cores/8 multithreading). It doesn't have a fan, so don't press 100%. Even at 70%, the case feels very warm, but dissipates the heat well. In addition to the ESXi host, we run two virtual machines, an OPNSense firewall and an application server. If necessary, he could easily double the charge. We have vmnic0 and 1 as our WANs. We have the rest as our virtual machine network. Our first bottlenecks won't be the processor with the applications we're running, but 16GB of RAM and a small 130GB SSD that we purchased separately. However, the hardware on the mainboard of the first device was not optimal. We had to return the first unit because one of the motherboard's floppy drive connectors was not properly seated. ProtectLI shipped a new device while we were using the first one in a damaged condition (1 drive didn't work), when a replacement arrived we moved two drives (SSD and SATA) and two memory chips that we also bought into the new device . Revolution. The new block works great. We gave 5 stars because the second device works perfectly. Customer service was professional, courteous and returns/exchanges convenient.
