For setting up these baskets, you do have to read the instructions and empty the package first. The instructions do guide you to make the assembly easier. The package contains 1 top basket, 2 lower baskets and a bag of hardware (bolts, screws, hooks, and wall anchors). I've read some of the reviews and found that person didn't mention using the wall anchors, while showing a picture of bare screws pulling out of a wall; so do use those anchors if mounting onto a wall. I fastened my baskets to a wood cupboard, so I didn't need them, nonetheless the wall anchors were nice to have anyway.Once set, I found these baskets sturdy, easy to unfold/setup in their basket form, from their flat/collapsed form.They are versatile. You can fasten all three baskets together, using the supplied machine bolts and hang them on one pair of screws anchored to a surface, or you can hang all three baskets separately (there are three pairs of screws and wall anchors supllied). I went with fastening two together and hanging one separately. The manufacturer supplied my kit with sufficient hardware to do those configurations. I like these sturdy baskets, with large storage capacity and estimate getting a lot of use out of them. My kit arrived in good condition and found no defects.
