a dream for people with flat feet

This is my second pair of Olukai Ohanas; My first one fell apart after almost three years of constant use. I am ashamed of my disgusting hooves. I have big bones and absolutely no bow. No one. Several podiatrists have described my feet as "the flattest I've ever seen." They are so flat that I have to wear shoes all the time otherwise I end up with back and leg pain at the end of the day. These are my indoor/garden shoes and my favorite shoe on hot days. For the record I have an 8.5 so I ordered a 9 which was the right decision for my feet. If your feet are like my pancakes they will crawl to the edges of this shoe but the support is like quality orthotics. They have a durable construction with a large tread underneath to keep you from slipping in mud or rain. The fabric toe box is comfortable and perfectly aligned, and the wide toe box is great for mutants like me. Is it expensive? Depends how you look at it. To me, $10 flip flops that look like clown shoes are expensive because the item itself is junk and will likely need to be replaced in a few months. That's expensive for the environment and like an additional purchase. I spent basically $22 a year wearing shoes all the time and almost nothing was comfortable on my feet. I could build a whole tower out of all the shoes I've tried and it would be a waste of money. You would not be part of this tower. Whether you walk a lot or a little, or you are looking for slippers or durable beach shoes, these sandals are all of the above. Your wallet might be a little wobbly, but your feet will thank you over and over (and over) again.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Mostly good but...
