It's very nice as long as you accept them as they are.

1. The color is not so much cattle red as a pair of boots. Medium shine. No fittings such as brass knobs or corner railings. It's vinyl, not leather, but durable cloth-backed vinyl. The stitching, while not heavy, is neat and full. Nothing done, no unfinished business.3. The padding is minimal but strong enough. They are by no means plush, but this will help them hold their shape. The seats are too big for a saddle stool. 20" to 14".5. The legs are dark but the texture shows through making them look like wood, not painted or stained wood. Regarding the cabinet, walnut. Suitable for all dark woods, with the exception of oak, and all black.6. The construction is above average for this price range. Mfg in Vietnam, not in China. Should last a long time if not abused. Vinyl can be easily replaced by any average handyman.7. The instructions are good. Make sure the screw holes in the subframes are facing up when installed and facing down when fully assembled. The included hex wrench will work, but a 3/16" socket wrench and matching ratchet will make the job that much quicker. The increased length lever makes the work much easier. I'll go a little further and suggest that you a) lightly glue the ends of the subframes with good quality wood glue prior to assembly (wipe off excess material with a damp paper towel immediately after assembly is complete). The process I used was bolt on one leg, position the next but not bolt on, glue and insert the subframe, bolt on the leg, install the next, tighten the subframe bolt. Once all four legs are bolted on and the subframes are in place, insert the bolts. Suitable for 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. No, the screws aren't numbered, that's just my way of saying, do them one at a time. Tighten in the same order. Then go back and tighten them again.8. A warning: do not overtighten any fasteners. Much better to come back and retighten later than to break the subframe because you screwed in too deep (easy to do, especially with a screwdriver that long) or bend the cross brace (and loosen or destroy the dovetail). joint stopping in place).9. One caveat: you're directly 25 inches off the ground. I lowered mine 4 inches so the attached picture is not an accurate representation. If you wish to lower yours then simply cutting off the legs will do the trick and it probably goes without saying that this is much, much easier to do before fitting.10. PS There are plastic wheels on the bottom of the legs. I don't know how long they last, but they are thicker, denser, and harder to rip out than most I've seen. However, I would not recommend them for young children to bathe every day of the year, although teenagers will be fine. And don't think you're buying quality handcrafted heirlooms. They are good, attractive, well-built commodities intended for occasional or moderate use.
