Review on Roland FP-10 digital piano black by Anglari Georgiev ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

In general, everything is not bad, but I expected more.

On two copies in a row, one of the black keys clicked distinctly when pressed (each had its own). On the first copy, this was clearly manifested a week later (one clicked directly, several started) - they sent it to the service, they recognized the marriage, the store provided a new one in return, but it already showed the same thing when unpacking / inspecting it. Even on the first episode I contacted Roland, their employee said it happens once in a hundred, it is unlikely to happen again on another copy. But no, and the second one is the same. And judging by the English-language forums and reviews, this is a very common problem, typical for PHA-4 keyboards (search: roland clicking keys), just not everyone is guaranteed, they play like that. Chose Roland incl. for a quiet, well-damped keyboard, but it didn't live up to expectations. I had to cancel my purchase. I spread my arms. To be fair, on the same class models from other manufacturers, there are also complaints on the forums about the clattering of black keys, but it seemed to me not so often. PS Judging by the video from the vastness of YouTube, fixing a banal case, with six screws and a smear of petroleum jelly, will help for a while, but opening it yourself will fly out of warranty, and every time it’s too dreary to carry complaints to the center.

Pros
  • Laconic design, key travel, collected sound, I liked the piano/pad combination
Cons
  • Individual black keys click when pressed
