I have also used other beard picks in the past, for example from Walmart or Kent. Nothing quite compares to this one from Chicago Comb. Kents have fewer teeth and you can feel the stitches tearing through your hair (this is especially egregious if you have curly hair that's harder to pull). The Walmart selection I had also had fewer tines but were wider. The Chicago Comb Pick has the perfect width between each of its many tines and glides effortlessly through a curly beard. You can see the seams between the teeth but if you try to feel them they definitely won't harm your hair as they are smooth and appear to be flush with the comb. At an affordable price, this hairbrush is definitely worth it. I can't say how long it will last, but it must be for a long time. It's flexible, as a comb should be (you don't want a stiff, stiff comb going through your stiff comb), but strong.
