Review on πŸ”‘ Dorman 99159 Keyless Entry Remote: 4 Button Compatible with Infiniti/Nissan Models (OE FIX) by David Moreno

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It worked! And then it's not... without warning.

UPDATE: The remote control no longer works. I will not reprogram him as if he died once without warning, he could die ANYWHERE without warning and leave me stranded. I replaced the battery in the remote just in case, but the battery in the remote was still charged. I really wanted this to work, but it's too risky. When I went to the Nissan dealer it should have been $150 FOB and $320 labor. When I went to a third party battery and key location they said "no way" - the 2009-2014 Nissan Altima was notoriously problematic and they wouldn't take a chance. That's all. The steps weren't 100% obvious which is a little annoying but be patient, learn them and you'll be fine. KEY POINT (get it?): THERE IS a difference between turning on a car and turning on an accessory. Check out the review on "jp2code" and you will be fine. The online video shows the guy pressing the power button once in places where he should press it twice (on and accessory mode), but other than that it worked. It also helped that I did it directly at the dealer. If I had bricked up the car it wouldn't have to be towed too far!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
