I just say "I love" this cup holder! I was using a vented phone holder and noticed that the weight of my phone over time weakened the vent and caused the phone to move when I turned a corner. I tried trying this and WOW, WOW and WOW! Pros: 1. It sits in the cup holder as shown in the videos and photos which I don't use. I have 2 cup holders in the center console and one in my door so using one of those worked perfectly.2. It also comes with extra padding in case you can't open it tight enough to fit snugly in the cup holder. I drive a large SUV and I think my cup holders are pretty big and I didn't have to use pads at all. 3. It has padding on both stand tabs so it won't scratch or damage your phone and the pad absorbs any noise it may make when hitting bumps or anything. (no noise) 4. Posture is adjustable and you can maneuver it in many ways to sit just right for your viewing and touching. The stand, which sits in the cup holder, makes no noise and has pads on three adjustable prongs that slide out. These soft end caps can be adjusted by twisting the device to open or close it just over an inch outward for a really secure and snug fit. Since it fits snugly in the cup holder, it (surprisingly) doesn't move at all while driving. Literally didn't move.7. The clasp at the top of the phone holder is adjustable in height and the clasp at the bottom is adjustable in width, so you can fit a larger device in it.8. This thing was great at installing a car mount in the back seat to hold the phone in place so our daughter could watch her TV shows while we drove. IT WAS A BIG PLUS!9. I love how it holds my phone in place. Now when I type in an address or whatever to navigate, it holds my phone securely so my phone moves anywhere. My car mount in my air vent used to frustrate me with this. 10. Finally, when your phone is in it, you can use your phone or tablet vertically or turn it sideways, which was very cool. In addition, the bottom is wide open so you can easily access the charging port and plug in your phone while using it. Cons: 1. It's not bad to be honest, but the clasp to release the phone is on the back, so you have to reach back with one hand to press the clasp and pull as you do so your phone on/off with the other hand. It wasn't a problem at all, but it took some getting used to.2. The car phone holder I used before was on the air vent so it was a lot higher in my truck and I'm so used to looking up when I'm facing a direction. It took me a while to get used to driving it because instead of looking up at the dashboard to see the navigation, I now had to look down at the climate control controls to see my navigation. Now I got used to it after using it for a week.3. If you are traveling with many people you will need a cup holder, so if the person in the front passenger seat cannot put their drink in the cup holder in the door and you have a drink that does not fit in your cup holder in the door, then one of you his drink. lol I don't have that problem. All in all, I'd like to say that this has too many benefits (for me) to go back to using a vented phone mount. I love this thing and would highly recommend it to people who are tired of broken car vents from heavy phones, or people who don't want to scratch their cards by attaching a car mount to the dash with a long pole. with phone inside. Definitely 5 stars for me.
