After using it, I completely understand why so many people with coarse, curly, unruly hair are writing such great reviews about this product. It's VERY flat. I have fine, medium, slightly wavy hair and he made it shiny but very flat. I think the key is not to use a lot of conditioner unless you have thick, coarse hair. The mass of negative ions does the conditioning. On the plus side, SUPER LIGHT weight and very quiet compared to others I've used. Nice curved handle. Even when you first switched it on, there was no foreign odor to be felt. Some dryers smell like chemicals. This one doesn't smell like anything. So if you have very thick, difficult to dry or curly hair that you want to straighten and straighten, go for it. If not, then cool it on air conditioners. I think you will like it!
