We got this because we have a high bed and a small folding table next to the bed that just didn't work for eating in bed if a member of the house stayed in the room during recovery. We got this so they can eat in bed. Unpacked it was already assembled. It's well built and strong, yet lightweight and easy to carry. The legs fold easily, even too easily. One of the legs falls off when you carry it from the kitchen to the bedroom, while the other stays on easily until you bring it into the room and are ready to install. Once installed, it's pretty stable and has no issues with tipping. The person using it has found that he loves to cross his legs and place it in front of him instead of sitting on his knees. In any case, it works much better than a small folding table next to the bed. I'm very happy with it and I'm sure we'll be using it a lot more.
