My bedroom doesn't have air conditioning and I was looking for an inexpensive way to cool it down. There were no reviews when I bought it, but I decided to give it a try. I like the digital display that disappears after a while so the light doesn't disturb your sleep. This makes it easy to see the room temperature. It also made it easy to see that it wasn't working. I used chilled water with ice packs for optimal cooling. It was cooler when I sat directly in front of the device. But I bought it to cool the bedroom, not just the person. It was quiet, but the design of the fan made it so that the air didn't blow directly at you, but around you - like on your head and legs. When you were in bed it got under the bed and onto your body so you couldn't get any cooling. I even tried procrastinating and it didn't work. I am terribly disappointed so I will be returning it for a refund. UPDATE - I received an apology from the company and a $50 offer if I delete my review (at least that's what it sounds like). I believe these ratings are important to enable buyers to see what they are really getting and I will not remove my rating or change my rating.
