These stools are very heavy. They rotate smoothly and make no noise. The color I ordered was a true navy blue. In fact, they are very comfortable. My guests say they are better than the back stools I used to have. I was afraid they would be uncomfortable as there was no backrest to lean on, but the seat padding itself was comfortable. There are a few random threads here and there that I need to trim. The only thing I don't like is that these chairs don't slide well. We added felt to the feet because we knew our kids would push them around everywhere (the plastic feet don't slide at all and could damage your floor). The felt made the stools slide. But they are so heavy that they tip over about fifty percent of the time. I can't move the stool to sweep under it, I have to lift it up every time. Again, they're pretty heavy, and if you have health issues that prevent you from lifting more than a pound or two, these aren't for you. Also, since the table tops rotate, you have to remember to lift the stools at the base, not the seat. If you forget it, when you lift it, it will rotate and the weight will shift. They hurt a lot when they land on your foot. i know too well Just like our children. I wouldn't even think about it if you have toddlers pulling furniture. If you're smart enough to remember how to lift them properly, you'll love them. They contribute greatly to the attractive and comfortable stools you receive.
