I had problems with a calloused skin on the ball of my foot caused by my socks rubbing. Last year I rolled up some wool winter socks, but I decided that I really needed short summer wool socks. So I tried these. In general I am satisfied with them. I bought a medium size that says it's for women, size 7-9, but I found it a bit too long, although I can get it to work. I don't really like the grippy things on the inside of the heel of the sock. I would also have liked a slightly higher proportion of wool. I compared a lot of socks before buying and I find them to be among the best on the market, although I haven't been able to design my own. Update I am buying these socks again and there was no merino wool on the new packaging. Compared to the first order, I can say that these socks have less wool because they are more elastic and slippery. Even wool socks with a high proportion of wool do not stretch. In general, they are better than cotton socks and do not hurt the legs. I just wish they were more transparent in terms of wool content and consistent in quality.
