Most of the bad reviews are for the black version. Bought stainless steel, everything is fine. The towels don't get hot from the dryer, but they do warm them up enough to feel like a little luxury on a chilly morning. After experimenting with maximizing warmth, we found that folding the towel twice before hanging it on a hanger was better, especially when it took 20 minutes to prepare. For us, this is a budget gadget, so we're not sure the pricier versions perform better. Anyway, my husband hung it up and connected it in 25 minutes and we are satisfied!
