Ten years ago when you went to an auto parts store to buy blade fuses, you would find Littelfuse or Bussmann fuses with a nice clear plastic body and metal tabs sticking up. Fuse so you can use a test light or fuse tester while the fuse is still in the fuse box. These days fuses from these well known brands have switched to a different type of plastic which is cloudy making it difficult to tell if a fuse has blown. They also removed some of the metal blades so the metal was inaccessible from the top of the fuse. I have no doubt that these changes were made in the interests of cost savings. It's those things that make people say things like "they don't do what they used to do anymore." Well, cheer up my friend, because these fuses are still made of crystal clear plastic, top-accessible conductors, and easy-to-read white letters to indicate the amperage. I am very happy with this purchase. I only wish I had bought them off the menu instead of the 242 set.
