I did a lot of research before buying an extra seat for my Schnauzer. I wanted one that is very strong, easy to use and really durable. Kurgo Rover is very strong and does not sag at the bottom or on the sides. The inner material is fluffy but not very thick, so I use a small dog blanket rolled up at the bottom. The presence of many pockets on the outside is very convenient. I can hold a leash, some toys, a collapsible bowl, a bag of food or treats, and a water bottle. I can even put my wallet and/or phone in the pocket closest to me while driving - so handy! The straps are very strong, easy to adjust and won't slip when the dog is in them. A lower strap that goes around the back of the seat and a strap that connects it to the seat belt make it really secure. It doesn't even budge around a sharp turn or a quick stop. Inside is a harness that can be attached to the dog's harness (NEVER attach the harness to the dog's collar). The harness is adjustable which is great as our schnauzers come in a variety of sizes. It would fit a five-pound pup as well as a twenty-pound guy. The larger one cannot lie fully stretched out, but curls up in it and tilts its head to one side. I can quickly adjust the height so dogs of all sizes can enjoy the view. It can be removed in a jiffy, which is great as I may have to go from pooch to human passenger the same day. I really haven't found any downsides to this model, other than that it needs to be cleaned more often if the shed is tall.
