I ordered these for my vacation in Mexico where I knew I would be doing activities like ziplining, quad biking, scuba diving, jet skiing etc. I was looking for water shoes that I could use at events but that were also cute to wear otherwise so I didn't have to take two pairs of shoes with me. and that's it! They are more comfortable than your typical water shoes and protected my feet as I walked over rocks and climbed stairs. Even though they are "man's shoes" they were cute on my foot! My actual height is a 9 and I could probably get by with an 8.5 but you can tighten them up so that's not a problem. I definitely recommend it!
