These are well constructed, lightweight alligators that I wear over my boots when mowing the lawn to keep dirt off my boots and socks. I live in the south and mostly mow grass in my shorts and boots, so I needed something to keep the grass and dirt off the top of my boots. These alligators sit snugly on my shins, not too tight, and also stay around my boots for 4-5 miles as I mow and trim the lawn. They appear to be well constructed and considering how much I paid for them this is the real deal. I highly recommend them!
