We bought this for our newest lifeguard who weighs 75 pounds. A Mastiff mix that will make you jump out of your skin when he barks. Previously we only had to use Beep with Vibrate on one incident. We haven't had to use the spray yet. It works like a charm to control his desire to react to anything that passes. If we expect a bark, we warn him with a verbal "Quiet", if he disobeys, "Beep" stops him. If he's particularly excited after "Beep," Vibrate will do. Remember that the device will beep at the same time as it vibrates and sprays. Make sure the collar is not on your pet when you turn on the remote control and pair it with the collar. Lesson learned, he confused our dog. Turning on/off and pairing a collar is a matter of repeated use. No bumps, more humane and works amazingly well in the car when we don't have direct access to our boy. It's been over a month and we haven't had any issues with battery drain or inoperability. So far it has greatly reduced our level of frustration.
