The fan is absolutely silent at a voltage of 9 V. At 12 V, only air flow is heard - there are no mechanical sounds or chirping. I installed one for blowing in and two for blowing out, connected it to the reobas - they averagely cope with the overclocked gaming system at maximum speed. The fan is low-speed (1000 rpm), and therefore creates an average air flow. If your system is not that hot, and your budget is limited, and you are looking for silence, then GELID Silent 14 is the best choice in terms of price / quality / performance / noise level. Do not take the PWM version - they say the chirp. If you need high airflow to cool your hot systems, look no further than the ARCTIC BioniX F140 (1800 rpm) fan. By connecting them to the reobas, in office mode you will get quiet fans, and in game mode - noisy blowing monsters.
