Because you have everything under control, from the type of coffee to the dilution of the water, it's very easy to customize your coffee to get it just right. However, this system has some disadvantages. First, you can use any coffee and almost any grind size, so finding the perfect cup can be a bit tricky. I have personally found that a fine grind, such as B. pre-ground for a coffee maker, works very well. Secondly, you have to keep in mind that it takes more than a cup of hot water to prepare 1 cup because the coffee is easily absorbed. I use a method I've seen at a coffee shop, where I pre-wet the filter and then add some hot water to the ground coffee to soak it before pouring it into the cup. Overall, this is the cheapest way to brew a cup of coffee and I would recommend it to everyone from the beginner to the advanced user. It's one of those things that gets better the more you practice it.
