Nice strap with quick release buckle. It weighs 2 ¼ ounces, while the regular plastic strap weighs 1 ounce, the steel strap that looks the same weighs 3.7 ounces, and the mesh strap with magnetic closure weighs 1.8 ounces. Since the 5x itself weighs 2.45 ounces, the steel strap is bulky. The mesh strap is good but the magnet comes off when cycling or running. The plastic strap (silicone) is actually the most functional, but it doesn't look that good. It's a good middle ground and doesn't cost a few hundred like the Garmin Titan. The pins that connect the segments are also unusual - they are the spring-loaded bars of a watch strap and are therefore easier to replace than the split pins on most segmented bracelets. Heck, I was going to give this a 4, but it deserves a 5 if those springs don't move.
