If you need a case to support your iPad for watching videos, this will fit. Note. There is only one position in which it can be fixed with the housing cover. I love the look of the Faux Composition Book case I purchased and that is the only reason I chose this case. It holds the iPad well. I don't have a pencil to check the slot. The button covers are very hard and require a lot of pressure to change the volume or turn them on and off with the power button. When laying flat with the iPad sleeve down, one side lifts up. This case is not intended to be hand held. In this case, there is no practical and comfortable position to hold the iPad. The lid won't fold under the case and the pencil slot sticks out awkwardly (away from me) to the left and the pencil slot feels awkward after holding the case for a few minutes. I probably won't keep this cover.
