My son needed a red tie for a jazz concert and I didn't want something flashy and cheap. It fit the bill, the texture made it elegant but not too elegant, and it suited him perfectly. It's 16 years old and has a 15" neck so some reviews mention it's too short, but it works great with a full Windsor knot.
