Review on Thule Aspect DSLR Backpack Black by Peter Nobles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

After hours of debating I'm so glad I chose this bag.

I bought this to take my camera and camping gear on an overseas trip to Iceland and Scotland. Although I initially declined the price, I can't imagine choosing anything else. I was able to set up my Nikon D5500 with a lens attached, an ultra wide angle lens, a 55-200mm lens and a bunch of small accessories INSIDE. DESIGNATED CAMERA COMPARTMENT. Also, I could easily fit two raincoats, two pairs of gloves, a waterproof backpack cover, and a few other accessories (such as a laptop charger) in the top compartment. Although I've never used it, the top bay's bottom plate can be lifted to access the camera from above. The vertical zippered compartment on the back easily fits my 13" Lenovo Yoga laptop or my husband's 15.4" HP laptop. The side pocket and buckle were sufficient to carry my older, heavier tripod, although it wasn't always as secure as I'd like. In case you're wondering, it fits easily in an airplane luggage compartment. It can be tricky to put under the seat as it's a bit stiff (which I agree as it ensures my gear is protected). He punctuated our trip perfectly and I can say it is made to last. Wearing it on short (1-2 miles) hikes was fairly easy and never felt uncomfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this bag to anyone looking for a versatile camera backpack!

Pros
  • The tripod can be easily transported with the practical storage compartment on the side wall. Stabilize heavy loads with a chest strap.
Cons
  • I will be silent
