I've been having issues with my left ankle for a while and the most effective ankle support is the velcro but it's bulky. I stumbled across Beister and decided to give it a try. Pros: It's comfortable, lightweight, fits easily into a small dress and trainers, and is good value for the money. Not Very Good: Level of support on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most supportive, I rated it a 5 at best. There is a slight level of support, but I don't think it's strong enough to bind ankles prevent twisting during sporting activities. Unfortunately, support has been sacrificed in favor of lightness and less bulkiness. If you tend to twist your ankles I wouldn't recommend these. More of a prophylactic for people who have no ankle problems or history.
