Socks Ankle Surgery Cam Boot

Bought after ankle surgery which left cuts on the heel and both sides of the ankle. I just about bought one thinking they were sold as a pair so I'm glad I bought a pair or two. It's nice to have an extra while the wash is in progress. Needs a thicker sock than the thin sleeve I left the orthotics with. This sock is the best barrier between boots and scabs healing at the seams. Yes, it can be a bit hot, but I just hang that leg out from under the covers at night, and now it's not summer for me. But the thickness is just right when I put my foot in an ankle compression ice pack (worth every penny of the $90 I spent on it!). Yes it rolls/pulls on the velcro straps when trying to get half of your numb foot out of the boot but after 6 weeks it hasn't had an issue in terms of washability or durability. I wash them inside out (a lot of dead skin comes off after the surgery - so uncomfortable!) and let them air dry so I don't have any sizing issues (I'm a women's size 10). The top elastic is loose and slips an inch or two, but I don't get up with a walker. I just lean on a chair or roll around the house on wheels. Cramps in fingers, especially at night. Once I put the boot on I just tug at the seams on my toes and that helps. But actually, my toes are still numb from the FDL transfer, so I don't always feel it until I see dents in the seams when I pull it off. I'm glad I made this purchase instead of using my son's soccer socks. They were long enough but didn't feel like stretchy terrycloth.

Cons
