I got it as a birthday present. I love it. It holds my iPad tucked into a case with a stylus holder on the side. It looks like it will only hold a phone, but the grip stretches out nicely to grip and hold an iPad. So I thought, well, that would be cool, but it's not. The base is nice and heavy, and the "joints" have a tension tool to tighten them to your liking. I think you only need to do this once on a blue moon because it holds its position very well. I've bought so many phone holders that looked good but weren't very versatile so this was a pleasant surprise. Four of my friends bought this device without looking their eyes just because I admired it so much. Do yourself a favor and have one. This will be the last holder you will ever need and you will be able to look good on FaceTime calls without showing every chin you may or may not have!
