These LED strips consist of many soldered parts. The electrical connections are good, but the mechanical connection and double-sided tape leave something to be desired. Some of the parts soldered together are less than 18 inches long. So in the light coil, you're going to have a lot of these lumpy joints. I have already torn off part of the double rod from the aluminum strip to which I attached the lights. As for CRI statements - I don't have a counter for that, I wish I had one. But photographing the color calibration standard after manually adjusting the white balance on my Canon DSLR shows that there are some significant differences from lights with well adjusted CRI values. I don't think it's really 90 CRI based on that.
