Review on 🐢 Optimized Dog Tie-Out Cable by Amazon Basics by Ricky Habbani

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I buy for the third time. The price is good, you have to change annually. The coating cracks and then the cable breaks.

Update: A year later (and now two years later) I'm buying another set again. The cable coating cracked and broke. Once the plating is damaged, the metal cable breaks, twists, etc. This seems to happen with every brand I've ever bought. I don't think anyone here has figured out how to make a better mousetrap, just copy the same thing and sell it. leaves me with the best price since I change every year due to breakage. After the cracked coating collapses, the cable sticks to everything, including the decking. The crazy dog has added to their wear and tear. They were set up and used all winter in temperatures as low as -20 degrees, with one end covered in snow for several months. Lots of abuse from rain, snow, rocky terrain etc. The dog even roams the creek and wraps it around trees etc. I bought two and clipped them together. Works well for a mad dog that runs and wraps itself around your ankles. The cable's shroud protects my knuckles if I'm unlucky enough to fall into insane dog madness. The dog is 10 years old and has finally slowed down, but he still has his moments.

Pros
  • Made from heavy duty steel and PVC for durability and rust protection
Cons
  • I'll write back
