These little things are so bright and happy. So versatile. Small but nice! I put a strand of hair on top of my closed solarium and stare at the sun box directly to the window. They hold a charge very well! For Halloween, I put quilted thread in each of my pumpkins, and I got pumpkin lanterns! I put them outside my house for Christmas and love so they stay lit all night to greet any night or morning commuter that comes by and then they automatically dim on the lights! I'm going to save a ton of money on my electric bill this Christmas! Don't worry about where to place the solar box. I just hang it over a fence or bush while it faces the sun. It does not have to be buried in the ground. I bought seven or eight of these and use them indoors and outdoors. The only downside is that, like all Christmas garlands, they get mixed up. So when I photograph them this year I will be more careful and wrap them around the holder so they don't get tangled. Small but nice!
