I only skipped a doorbell camera because I already have a professional wired system for my home. I received this due to Onvif compatibility. It's available under different names, but Onvif's function and app vary. First, the image quality is good and it does its job of identifying people in close proximity. Even for someone standing directly in front of the camera, the picture is not very good. Forget trying to use it for anything beyond 10 feet. Maybe 3mp, but the wide angle distorts everything. I like the two way audio and it works very well. Doorbell press releases come quickly to my iPhone. The WiFi connection is reliable. I can't get the motion sensor to work properly. He continues to catch passing cars. There is no consistency. Works well for a short time, then not. Setup was pretty easy on my iPhone. I ended up having to revert to my 5GHz band due to some settings and saving issues. Not sure what's going on, but works much better with a weaker signal. Find out. I couldn't connect it to my non-Hikvision NVR, that was disappointing. I have two other Hik cameras and they connected with no problems. Onvif is compatible with Hikvision NVR. Not a deal breaker for me. I just wanted it to show up on my system monitor in my office. If I were to use this camera as the only source of surveillance for the facade of my house, I'd have it back in no time. The two-way talk feature is useful for my wife. We enjoyed it more than the intended purpose or marketing. Come to think of it, no one rings the doorbell anymore. Couriers rarely toss and turn and run away. Kind of why I held on to getting one. She wanted one, so I just said yes, honey. assembly was very easy for me. My doorbell has a 16 volt transformer with two mechanical bells. Both work with only one connected power supply. Installed a cheap micro SD card for 128 GB. No questions.
