I purchased this Lazy Susan bowl not for kitchen use. I bought this to help me knit sweater sleeves top down. When knitting a sweater top down, take the sleeve loops and transfer them to scrap yarn until you finish the body. When the body is ready, pick up the loops of the sleeves and start knitting the sleeves. When knitting a sleeve, you end up with a lot of sweater bulk that you keep turning over as you knit around the sleeve. The Lazy Susan Bowl is used to hold the body of the sweater and as you knit the sleeve place the bowl on your knees and rotate the bowl as you knit. That's much nicer than dealing with the whole crowd.
