A bit of my backstory: I have used the Innova Competition bag with Phoenix Quad Shock straps for about 6 years. I play quite often and a lot of the fields I play on are hilly. After a long day of disc riding I found that my shoulders and back were quite sore from lugging around my race bag as all the weight seemed to be on my lower back. Also, the straps scratched my right wrist when I took them off. I carry a backpack to work all the time and it's packed with tools and equipment which is like carrying a small child on my back so I figured I'd be better off with a backpack for weight distribution. I decided to buy one of these bags because of their cheap price and some video reviews. Lat 64 produced quality products so I wasn't too worried about the purchase. The quality of the materials of this bag seems to be really durable. I've had it for about 2 months now, I've used it in several tournaments and many random rounds and it still looks brand new. The zippers slide well and appear to be quite durable. The bag kept my rims dry in fairly heavy rain without a raincoat (although I wish I had an umbrella with me). I think if you played in the rain all day it would end up soaking wet. The bottom is a thicker rubber material that should hold up well if dropped on the floor. The bag sometimes tends to tip over on uneven surfaces. To be fair I have about 6 discs in the top pocket which could be why. The bag offers plenty of storage space. In total, I carry about 25 drives between two bays. The flaps tuck into the pocket when opened and have Velcro for fixation. Pulling out the discs and putting them back in is pretty easy. Best of all it feels great on my back. Very comfortable, good fit. I can play all day and honestly don't feel any difference in my upper body. With my old bag I knew for sure that I had been carrying something heavy all day. One of the zippered side pockets fits a few things: a raincoat, a can of bug spray, a permanent marker/pen, an extra mini bar or two, and a few snacks like rock bars or a small bag of jerky. As for the cons, I'd like to see a dedicated cup holder on the side. There are two zippered pockets and one has a small opening at the bottom which I can only assume allows moisture to ooze out of sweaty drink containers. I usually carry a 40 ounce vacuum can of water with me. For the most part, the bag works if you close it as much as possible, but as the game progresses, the zipper will pop back up and the bottle will pop open. Not a big deal but a little uncomfortable. I suppose you can treat this like a pro as you can use both zipped sides for storage if you don't need a cup holder, but watch out for the hole on one if you have small items! So if you are looking for a lightweight backpack that is comfortable to carry all day and has enough space for everything you need, this is a good choice. I will update this review if the bag lets me down with additional use soon.
