I was skeptical. I'm not a pro, my kids cleared the screen. It's an iPad 4, so don't go to Apple and pay to have it fixed. It sat in the closet for six months before I thought I could smash it against a brick wall or try to fix it for twenty bucks. There is no losing situation. The hardest part was removing the screen. Soften the adhesion with a hair dryer, but it will still crumble and deteriorate, be careful. I found two good videos on YouTube that helped me with this fairly easily. The screen fitted perfectly and is now like new. There are no dead zones. The camera works great. The home button works. And I saved myself from throwing away a great iPad.
