- YES! - Finally I can cut a .031" hardened 301 stainless steel gasket I bought last year - it's 3/8" wide and I had to cut it in half. - I also bought *100 feet* of these. - Tried all kinds of turntables and hacksaw blades. Then I saw these "scissors" recommended on several metalworking forums that I stumbled upon while looking for methods to trim gaskets and **they WORK** =:-D. I won't say it's *easy* since I have arthritis, but at least I *can* do it. - I also did my homework on different types of airplane scissors and settled on this Wiss straight scissors. Happy to have done it! - I'm so glad I can use the spacer I bought - it costs *a lot* more to make something narrower out of stainless steel than I could afford, especially with a spring temper. I've also tried it on a stainless steel sheet ("oven substrate") I salvaged a few years ago and it cuts really easily so I can finally use it :) I also have other plans that I'm finally going to try now it can, cheers! - Okay, yes, so I'm *easily* entertained LOL! but seriously, they work *so* well and I'm really happy because I can finally move on to the next phase of my current project, *and* start. a few other things I wanted to try. If I had known how well they work, I would have bought them a few years ago, but better late than never ;)
