So I haven't done a review of dedicated cameras - I can't say if it's the best of its kind (although it was recommended to me by someone I trust). But I can say it's a massive improvement over the cameras built into my latest generation MacBook Air and my old desktop Mac. The resolution is radically better. Light balance and low light performance is much better. And the focus and depth of field are much better. These days I typically use Zoom calls 5-6 hours a day. (Ugh, huh?) I find that being clearly seen really helps my attendance and impact in meetings. Basically, it's about making it easier for other people to read my facial expressions. It is really important. If you also have a Zoom related job, make an investment, upgrade your camera!
