Works fine with MS TEAMS

Ever since I work from home and absolutely hate the built-in cameras on both my work tablet and personal laptop, I've had a cheap webcam to carry with me that I could work. . When the work moved to the Microsoft TEAMS platform, it didn't recognize my cheap camera, even though all other applications recognized it. Did some research and found that this camera integrates with TEAMS. Works perfectly, great video, great color. Couldn't be happier!

Great camera. However, Zoom does not have a zoom function. Polytechnic support is weak.

I bought my EagleEye Mini primarily to use in Zoom meetings for remote work (bought elsewhere). Poly's website talks about a 4x zoom and pan feature, but it should be very app-specific as it doesn't seem to have that feature in Zoom. Talking to Polycom tech support for this camera is surprisingly weak considering their tech support for their Plantronic headsets is actually very good. The camera is good unless you need the zoom function.

Great picture quality, terrible PC mount

Great video quality but useless mount. The camera has a limited range of motion (up/down only). So if you want to pan the camera left or right, you're out of luck. I was trying to hide the cabinet doors in the back and the only way I could do that was to bend the bracket and use masking tape. Neither the mount nor the camera offer physical panning, which I find very strange. Other reviewers have mentioned scaling. A definite improvement over the built in cameras

So I haven't done a review of dedicated cameras - I can't say if it's the best of its kind (although it was recommended to me by someone I trust). But I can say it's a massive improvement over the cameras built into my latest generation MacBook Air and my old desktop Mac. The resolution is radically better. Light balance and low light performance is much better. And the focus and depth of field are much better. These days I typically use Zoom calls 5-6 hours a day. (Ugh, huh?) I find that being

Approved by my company!

This is the impression I got from my company because I am now a licensed insurance company working full time from home and we have meetings every day for about 30 minutes and our cameras need to be on during the meeting. The beauty of this camera is that there is a shutter locking feature on the perimeter of the camera. Rotate right to lock the camera and rotate left to use the camera.
