Review on ๐Ÿšฒ ALLEN Tension Bar Bicycle Crossbar Adaptor, Black, Universal Size by Juan Lockwood

You get what you pay for

I bought these two "Bike Beam" pull bars from Allen and Saris. The sari was twice the price of the Allen and both had great reviews but for me the quality is worth paying a little more for. Allen costs less than $20. I paid $49.99 for the saris at a local saris bike shop. I would NOT pay the nearly $80 saris for sale here at Revain (go to Saris.com or go to your local bike shop where $49.99 is MSRP). I've read other Allen reviews about the locking pin change and I was fine with making this change as long as the handlebars themselves were strong and secure to support my bike. Sarees that are just over twice the price are more than twice the quality. I say this because the Allen uses a lighter spring tension design that is no match for the strength of the saree. Also, the allen bar itself is a smaller diameter and overall I don't think it will hold up well. I give it three stars but it deserves more than 2.5 stars - it may be suitable for light bikes and short trips. Street, you know, it's worth investing more so it doesn't happen again.
