I needed a PC for an unattended ham radio system in a very remote location. The PC should be as powerful as possible and take up as little space as possible, support two "virtual monitors” with the highest possible screen resolution, but run "headless” and switch on the operating system and remote desktop applications in the event of a power failure was switched off. and restored. The specifications of this machine were ideal for the job. Once the applications required for this feature were downloaded, I tested it and it works admirably with enough processing power for the complex GUI of a remote access application. However, the way here was thorny. A PC doesn't function without a head (at least I can figure out how to say it and don't have time to jump through support hoops), and there's no documentation to define it. A quick purchase of a headless adapter solved this problem. Tried through all the BIOS settings for booting on power recovery but to no avail. I emailed the seller who said I needed to contact the factory for a "Windows Firmware and Key Update". nope! Searched the Factory Support Forum and found a document on how to change the jumper inside. The picture in the document was DIFFERENT than on my board! Contacted the factory who told me to change the jumper. Told them my board didn't have that jumper. Apparently English is the second language for their support team as their written information didn't make much sense. They then sent me a photo pointing to another jumper (labeled AT_ATX) on the other side of the board. Toggling this jumper helped. The factory mentioned that they will update their documentation. A 2 hour process turned into a 4 day process (hence the 4 stars) but overall the device is just what I needed for the job.
