I currently live in a trailer and my bedroom has a skylight in which I have a large computer fan that plugs into an outlet and as soon as it gets power it turns on. Now I could just take a momentary switch and get similar results, but it was a little easier and didn't give me a choice of where to place the switch, which puts less pressure on me. Also note the size of this thing. vibrates in perfect condition. I plugged it into an overhead outlet and it and the diffuser sit side by side with little to no interference, meaning they can both be fully plugged in. My other idea with the second one is to control when my laptop is charging. I use a Type-C for my audio interface, keyboard, mouse, speaker, etc. I record audio for voice acting. My laptop likes to crank up the fan power while charging, but it's virtually silent on battery power. So basically I would just record on battery power and when it comes time to cut I don't care if the fans are running, I can't hear them in my headphones unless my mic is on and I'm in control about that.
