I work as a chef in New York, a very dynamic 3 star restaurant and I ended up with one of the worst things a chef can handle - boil , namely plantar fasciitis. Anyone who's had it knows it's painful, I've had it on both my legs. I went to therapy, got injections and was told to stay off my legs for a few months. Well, telling the chef to stay away from him. It's like telling the cop he can't have a brand or gun with plantar fasciitis, there's a lot to change. One of these is the shoes you wear for me boots I changed my chef shoes and sneakers after so much research I tried them and they fit me the best. Now I'm not sure if others can wear them or are allowed to wear them when working for lines or as chefs but since I'm a chef they don't bother me but since they don't have a back they can be a problem for be the management. This is fortunate though as they help me so well, I also switched to Nike Air when I read that they also help with plantar fasciitis. These were the best shoes I've ever worn. Again, before you buy them for use, first let the chef or management know if you can, if they don't care, do it, you won't regret it. Also, they are non-slip, but not as good as really good chef's shoes, but good enough for a quick restaurant.
