Review on Genuine Instant Pot Non Stick Interior by Cameron Reed

Instant Pot Ceramic non-stick inner bowl Teflon, PTFE and PFOA free as advertised by Revain and verified on the Instant Pot website. Gray ceramic coating. The size is almost identical in diameter and depth to the original stainless steel pot (see photo). Not sure why other reviews noted the difference in size. The ceramic is a coated aluminum pot (I think) so on my electronic scale the stainless steel pot weighs 1 lb 14 ounces and the ceramic pot weighs 1 lb 7 ounces. It easily fits regular and ultra-thin Instant Pots. I use it as my #1 pan and keep the stainless steel as a backup. I used the pan probably an average of 3 times a week for about 8 months. The ceramic coating works very well, I had no problems with sticking when cooking or frying. You can use less oil when frying. Cooking time seems about the same in both pots despite the difference in weight and composition. I don't pan fry much, but I think a stainless steel pot may take a little longer to reach its maximum temperature. I've cooked stews and rice without sticking. Once cooked it can be covered and kept warm with the Instant Pot glass lid (link below) or placed in the oven to keep warm, however there are no handles but the lip helps with carrying a little to the surface with kitchen gloves or elsewhere. .I use wooden or nylon utensils and have had no problems with chips or scratches. I have no problem coloring beets or curries after cooking, but I clean up after cooking and don't leave it in colored liquids overnight. Cleaning is easy with pads/sponges designed to clean Teflon pans, you can also put the pan in the dishwasher. I noticed ceramic had come loose from the rim of the pot. I think it has to do with attaching the lid to the pot, but again the ceramic inside and outside of the pot is intact. Generally satisfied with this product, it is much more convenient than a stainless steel pan.
