Gets attention! Great.after tweaking!

I used this at a high school tailgate party. We drew quite a crowd to our booth just so kids could spin.Pros:* It worked great โ€” almost a little too well! The spin was balanced and smooth, so much so that we had to manually add some friction or else it would have spun unreasonably long!* I really liked the sturdy feel of the wheel and the assembly.* The magnetic center part was a nice touch and could be spun as well.* The acrylic layer was thick and it held up to our use with few scratches.Drawbacks:* I couldnโ€™t figure out how to collapse the stand further, so had to deal with the 4โ€™ pole.* Itโ€™s a bit unstable if you have kids (or adults) put a lot of energy into their spin.* Biggest issue for me, though, was the black background and need for neon dry erase markers. The last person who used the board either resorted to use paint markers or didnโ€™t erase soon enough, because I had resort to trying to scrape and scrub the words off the spaces. In the end, I chose to forego markers and instead created some wedges with text using Word then printed them out on bright card stock and attached them with rubber cement.Overall, Iโ€™m very pleased with how everything turned out, however if I were to go out and buy a wheel myself, Iโ€™d get a colorful one, or maybe a white one, but definitely not black. (Unless I somehow managed to rig some LEDs, but thatโ€™s a different project!)

Pros
  • Used for Birthday Party.
Cons
  • May be viewed as a gimmick at some events
