As a kid in the 80's TMNT was a big part of my life be it toys, video games, cartoons etc so this game seemed like a natural connection, when it was announced last year. The general opinion of professional reviewers about this game is extremely bad, hasty and with every other negative connotation you can think of. It was these reviews that prompted me to intervene. Regardless of how I felt about this game in the end, the low price made it hard to pass up, but I'm happy to say that the reviews were the opposite of my reaction. Mutants in Manhattan have a bad reputation. Platinum has been a great support for fans of this game and while it has its flaws, it has given me the most important thing I look for in a game: fun. Being immersed in the story/setting/characters is like playing an interactive comic and takes me back to the days of coming home from school and watching the turtles fight the Foot Clan on TV. You'll find plenty of familiar faces, mannerisms, collectibles, phrases, music, and more that overshadow and minimize the game's relatively short length, frame rate, replay, and low difficulty. Of course, higher levels of difficulty and collectible hunts ensure longer duration and greater replay value. Speaking of replay value, it's similar to Transformers Devastation in that you can quickly beat the game on medium difficulty, but you'll be back to find all the goodies, explore all four turtles, and maybe even play online.
