I bought these for my daughter when she was about 15 months old (now 28 months old and still using them!) to teach her how to feed herself. The utensils are made of very hard and durable plastic and the handles on them are curved so they can be tipped into the child's mouth. I really like how deep the spoon is to hold more food. A lot of other spoons I've tried didn't have a deep enough indentation so the food kept falling off, but these won't be a problem! I also really like that the fork is a spork of sorts, a combination of spoon and fork, because it has a deep spoon-shaped notch near the tines. I like the rubberized grips on the handles that help the kid take dishes. The only criticism is that you can't choose the colors.
