This is the worst hair drying towel I've ever used. I assumed a cheaper towel would be slightly less effective (or break down in the wash faster) but I didn't realize the possibility of it being completely ineffective! I've used microfiber towels for about 7 years now, and I'm blown away at the inefficiency of this one.It has two different textures, one on each side. The actual inside (so the button is on the outside) is thicker and longer. It's like trying to dry your hair with a stuffed animal. Yes, it's soft but there's zero absorbency. If you turn it inside out (so the button is inaccessible), it's a normal microfiber towel feel. Still not very absorbent, but a bit better.Any other microfiber towel I've tried gets my hair to 70-80% dry in about 20 minutes. This one gets it 15% dry in 30 minutes, even using it inside out. Using a cotton t-shirt works better.I'm someone that is very careful with laundry - I only wash with free & clear type detergents, no softeners, and towels usually get line dried. If they go in the dryer, it's only with similar fabrics and no dryer sheets. I have done nothing to impact the absorbency, this is just how it works.Maybe all the reviews are from people who have never used microfiber towels before and don't know what they're supposed to do, but I am truly shocked that this has a positive rating.
