These tie rods are of a much better quality than those available locally at WallyWorld. I use them on my vents to ensure my insulated winter covers stay in place and they work great for that purpose. I also used 2 of these to keep my air conditioner filter from sucking out of the rack. I know it sounds crazy but I need to buy filters that actually fit in a filter rack but in reality I need to use filters that are 1 inch wider. The idiot who installed this system was a weirdo who set it up so you can't put in the right size filter. These tie rods are really good and strong.
