Review on πŸŒ‚ Safeguard Assembled Woodhandle Security Umbrella City Safe by Crystal Taylor

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Stay together for a year or so. Price too high

One year on three trips abroad. A year later, the protective metal cap at the sharp end of the umbrella falls off. They use 3 die-cut indentations to hold it in place. That does not work. Mine fell off my umbrella and I couldn't find it. It prevents the end fibers attached to the center from getting damaged if you need to hit something with it. You must use a two part epoxy or silicone based adhesive to keep them from falling apart and not just rely on the friction fit alone. The tote bag must be a thicker quality material as the stitching came apart on mine. The hinge attached to the body should also be made of a thicker and more durable material. They use umbrella fabric to make a cover. Hence the low strength and easy separability. The umbrella should cost 50 euros, not 109 euros, because you have to buy a new one once a year, because after that the structure falls apart. The person who designed the umbrella never had to travel long distances with it. He just sits at the table and designs umbrellas. That being said, the props are thicker than a regular umbrella, and you should be able to land a few decisive blows on someone's limbs with them, allowing you to escape or resolve your predicament.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...
