Review on JARDLI Glass Lily Pipe Inflow + Surface Skimmer for Planted Aquarium with 16/22mm (5/8'' i.d.) Tubing by Kristin Wilson

JARDLI contacted me and fixed my situation. I give it 4 stars because they have shown me that they care about their customers and are ready to help you with any problem you might have. Don't be afraid to try! It didn't work for my setup but it might work for you. The only good thing about the product is that it cleans the top of your tank, removing unwanted film and keeping the layer clean, but when it comes to getting it set up and working as it's supposed to, it's a nightmare. I am using a Marineland 220 canister pump and either the filter is too strong for this inlet tube or the product itself is poorly designed. I've tried everything and spent at least 6 hours trying to get it to work as intended but failed every time. It keeps sucking air into my pump, and even when I think I've adjusted it correctly, the air never stops flowing through the skimmer tube into my pump. I have resorted to using gauze to cover the top of the lily as there needs to be something there to block the flow of water or the vortex of water running down the tube will cause air bubbles to force its way through the inlet tube into the pump . I also tried using an o-ring to keep the tube from going all the way down as it causes flow problems if it half covers the inlet of the glass tube. Either the lily tube needs to be shortened, or the U-bend in the glass inflow tube needs to be high enough so that you can easily cover it at the inflow tube junction. The bottom flow adjustment is also painfully tight, my fingers ache after countless attempts to turn it to adjust the flow in the bottom half. This product may work with a filter that doesn't have much flow, but it just doesn't work for my setup. I want so badly to make it work properly because I love the idea and concept but it fails every time.
